    West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced Rs 2 lakh ex gratia for families of rain-related deaths and urged CESC to provide Rs 5 lakh for electrocution victims. At least 10 people died, nine in Kolkata due to electrocution from exposed wires amid waterlogging. The state government will ensure employment for the deceased's families, addressing the flood-like situation worsened by inadequate dredging.
